Revisited Cow Character - 2006 Maya, Photoshop September 2006
A short while ago I was asked by an acquaintance if I would update a cow I first modeled back in 2001 for a particular project of his. The update required a new mouth with teeth and re-texturing. In the end, I actually re-modeled almost the whole cow so it would be easier to manage, texture and rig (the initial version was done while I was learning 3d and was a little messy). Most of the textures are procedural with the exception of alpha maps for Layered Shaders. The final image was rendered with Maya's Software Renderer and, as always, Photoshop was used in Post for a slight touch up.
